There is a ton of information out in the social sphere about the Open Graph, but there aren’t a lot of pointers on how to best utilize the Open Graph to more effectively market on Facebook. To help shed some light on how it can affect your marketing, Jason and Wayne explored the evolution of the Open Graph, and how marketers can benefit. They also shared a couple real life case studies and results featuring Open Graph enabled social marketing campaigns.
With Facebook’s Open Graph, marketers are able to bridge the gap between the brands they represent and their consumers. Marketers can now give consumers ways to creatively express how they feel about brands, and share that with their connections across Facebook. In addition, the Open Graph facilitates the convergence of media types (another hot topic – check out our blog post on the subject).
