On March 19th and 20th, the Extole team headed over to the Marriott Marquis in the heart of San Francisco for the two-day OMMA Global Conference. The Global Conference encompassed all things social, mobile, display, video and response. Social was, of course, the hot topic over the course of the two days with Pinterest, Facebook and social media metrics at the crux of most conversations.
Angela Bandlow, our VP of Marketing here at Extole, held a workshop during one of the social tracks, “Harnessing the Power of Social Referral Programs to drive ROI.” During her workshop, Angela spoke to the changing social landscape and how consumer sharing online has increased exponentially, giving brands an opportunity to tap into the power of their consumers to drive new customer acquisition, traffic, sales and improved search engine result placement (SERP).
Angela also shared some yet to be released analysis on our over 200 customers, giving insight into what type of results brands can expect from tapping into the power of their consumers via social referral programs. Some highlights: new data includes the makeup of the social referral funnel and how to compare advocate sharing across social channels vs. traditional channels like email. With the Twittersphere a buzz during her workshop, it is clear marketers are looking for measurable results from their social marketing initiatives, exactly what we can deliver here at Extole.
