Many of you have heard of Quora, how could you not with all of the press they’ve received in recent months about their astounding growth. Quora is a social Q&A site that enables users to harness the power of the social Web to find answers to their varying questions. It’s social in nature allowing users to vote up or down responses, comment on them, and share them via Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and the likes. Last month a curious user looking for a solid social referral marketing solution posted the question, “Has anyone used Extole for their business?” and to our delight, Tim Falls from SendGrid, an Extole customer posted a great response which we wanted to share with you.
Tim Falls, happy team member at SendGrid
“We’ve used Extole for a major promotional effort at SendGrid for the past 6 months. Last year, we wanted to implement a referral program, but quickly realized that doing so would require a significant amount of internal development resources. We couldn’t really afford to pull engineers from more pressing development projects, so we looked for other options and discovered Extole (then Tell-a-Pal). After a few weeks of part-time integration efforts, Extole took over management of our Refer-a-Friend program. We can now reward our loyal customers/fans for referring their friends and colleagues to our service, and give a limited time discount to those who sign up for new accounts as a result of using a referral link. The results have been awesome, with highly positive ROI since the outset. Also, the team at Extole has been great to work with. Overall, it’s turned out to be extremely effective and requires minimal effort from our side. I’d recommend the Refer-a-Friend service to anyone who is in a similar position to where SendGrid was 6 months ago, assuming your goals are the same as ours – to create more paid conversions.”
