THE CHALLENGE
Travelzoo UK wanted a fun way to engage existing customers and appeal to new ones in a non-transactional manner. They needed a partner with resources and technology to build and power a sweepstakes that involved sharing.
THE OPPORTUNITY
TravelZoo UK wanted to boost brand awareness and participation while authentically growing their prospecting list. The wanted to expand their existing refer-a-friend capability to encourage new prospects to sign-up and experience the brand promise which required a different referral experience tied to consumer events other than booking a trip.
THE SOLUTION
Travelzoo took advantage of the power of Extole's technology to build a sweepstakes experience that allowed customers to opt into the competition. Opted in customers created a nickname so that they could privately track their status on an Extole-powered leaderboard. Customers could then invite friends from the leaderboard. Extole tracked those invitations and provided the data necessary for Travelzoo to select winners.


THE RESULTS
Travelzoo UK engaged almost 15,000 current members to acquire thousands of new members. Those new members also booked trips and generated tens of thousands in revenue.
