Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about sandboxes.

Who is sandbox access for?

Sandbox access is for teams evaluating how Extole fits into their product and event model. This includes engineers building the integration, product teams defining program behavior, and technical leaders responsible for the long-term operating cost.

What can we test?

You can use the sandbox to explore event delivery, rule evaluation, campaign behavior, reward outcomes, and the integration surface your team is considering.

Can we use production customer data?

No. Use test, synthetic, or appropriately anonymized data unless Extole has explicitly approved another approach. Do not send credentials, payment information, regulated data, or other sensitive information.

Can we load test the sandbox?

Not without prior approval. The sandbox is for functional evaluation and integration testing. If throughput or performance testing is part of your evaluation, include that requirement in your request.

Does sandbox access become production access?

Let your contact know if you think your will need to retain your sandbox. A sandbox is not a production deployment. When you decide to launch, the production integration, credentials, configuration, and rollout are handled separately.

Terms & Conditions

Sandbox access terms

By requesting or using an Extole sandbox, you agree to the following:

  1. Use it to evaluate Extole only. The sandbox is for evaluating the platform, API, and prospective program configurations. Do not use it to run live customer programs.
  2. Use safe data. Do not submit production customer data, payment information, credentials, regulated data, or other sensitive information unless Extole has approved the intended use in writing.
  3. Keep credentials scoped. Treat sandbox credentials as confidential. Share them only with people working on the evaluation.
  4. Do not load test without approval. Do not send sustained high-volume traffic, run stress tests, or publish benchmarks without prior written approval from Extole.
  5. Expect an evaluation environment. Sandbox data, configuration, and availability can change or be reset. Do not depend on the sandbox for business operations or as the only copy of information.
  6. Sandbox access is not a subscription. It does not create a service-level commitment or an obligation for either party to proceed with a production deployment.
  7. Other agreements still apply. Your use of the sandbox is subject to Extole’s Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and any agreement between your organization and Extole.
