Gigaom Research surveyed 300 U.S. digital marketers to learn what tactics they use for brand awareness, customer acquisition, conversion and retention. They found email is the go-to tactic and referral marketing drives at least 35% of new customer acquisition for nearly half the marketers who use it. Says Gigaom: “If you are not spending on referral marketing, you’re making a mistake.”
